This page was used to be a page where I introduce my self and contain detailed, or not so detailed information about myself. For some reason, I rethink that it’s not really significant, and decided to create a new page containing information cosidering nature and the environment, and other miscellanous information. I will be posting new information twice every two weeks, and I will do my best to keep this up. You may found the information here like in many other people’s pages, blog, or site, but I just want you to be reminded again about how this world is suffering and needs our help.
A Gift from the Giant Serpent
Long ago in a kingdom called Semeulue, there lived a king, a king whose rich, clever, and wise. Sadly, he had no son to rule the kingdom after him. After a long wait, with prayer, the queen gave birth to a son whose name was Rohib. The king and queen loved him so much, and fondled their son. Rohib grew to a fine man. He was then sent to town to search for knowledge. Unfortunately, he did not finish his school. The king grew angry, and Rohib was exiled from the palace and was given fund so he could start his own business.
In the middle of his journey, Rohib saw a sight where animals were tortured by fellow humans. Rohib couldn’t stand those humans who mistreat the animals. He decided to offer the people his money so that they stop what they were doing to the animals. Before Rohib could notice, his money for his business was already exhausted. He stop in the middle of the forest and cried moaning of his fate. Unexpectedly, a giant serpent came to greet him. Rohib was scared to death seeing the serpent. However, the serpent said, “Do not be afraid my son. I won’t devour you. I’m here to present you a gift, because you have protected the animals from the torture of man,” while showing a brilliant stone from his mouth.
The serpent revealed the gift as a good luck stone, a stone that will grant any wish. Rohib rushed to the palace to show the stone to his kingdom. For safety, Rohib went to a goldsmith to forge the stone into a ring. Not to be expected, the goldsmith deceived Rohib and took the good luck stone for himself. Desperate, Rohib looks for the help the dog, the cat, and the mouse. The dog successfully discovered the goldsmith with his sense of smell. While the mouse manage to get the good luck stone back. Before the mouse return the stone to Rohib, the mouse first tricked the dog and cat by telling stories of how the stone fell to the river.

Moral Message: Love animals as animals will give benefit to humans and other living things.
This is a folklore originated from the most western province of Indonesia, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. It was taken from a book titled ’101 Cerita Nusantara’, and written by Team Optima Pictures. By writing this, I hope the moral message can touch your heart and make you more concern to the environment. Analogically, by continuosly hunting animals to the brink of extinction, the forest will be lacking of animals to nourish it. Eventually, the forest will die and less oxygen will be produced. Another example is, if we killed cows for more meat, and the cows went extinct, we won’t be able to eat any more juicy beef. So, I hope everybody can start loving animals more.
bagus bagus!!!! ceritanya dit!!!
